ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಇಲಾಖೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಶೈಕ್ಷಣಿಕ ಯೋಜನೆಗಳು


Prathibha Karanji :

It is an extended program under plan schemes for Primary and High School students. Prathiba Karanji is an innovative program where Cultural and literary competitions are conducted at cluster, block, and District and State levels. It provides a common platform for students for various competitions in which Successful children are given certificates of appreciation and prizes and selected students are sent to higher level competitions.
The motto behind Prathiba Karanji Program is to

  • Help in the personality development of the students.
  • It combines education and entertainment, and encourages develop the non-cognitive skills.
  • bring out the hidden talents in children
  • Provide a platform for the students to learn and acquire new skills for life.
  • Provide teacher an opportunity to play a vital role in identifying the talent in the student.
  • Encourage Parents and teachers to mould the personality of the children and develop competitive spirit in them.
  •  Engage and exhibit themselves in extracurricular activities along with the academics

Children take part in individual and group competitions at all levels—from the school to the state.
For Class 1 to 4 and from 5 to 7 Individual Competitions  conducted are Recitation, Recitation- Religious verses(Sanskrit and Arabic),Light Music, Fancy Dress, Drawing, Storytelling, Action song, clay modeling, Yogasanas (for class 5 to 7 only).
 Group Competitions are Folk Dance, Patriotic song, Kolata, Quiz (selected 2 students from each School).
For Class 8 to 10  Individual Competitions  are Speech, Recitation- Religious verses(Sanskrit and Arabic) Yogasana , Karnatak  classical Music, Hindustani Classical Music, Folk Songs, Light Music, Bharatnatayam, clay modeling,Mimicri, Essay Writing, Debat, Rangoli,Gazals,  Fancy Dress, Drawing, Storytelling.
Group Competitions are Folk Dance, Kolata, Quiz (selected 2 students from each School) Drama, Kavali and Science Model making.



Ksheera Bhagya Yojane  :

Hon`ble Chief Minister has inaugurated the programme Ksheera Bhagya on 01-08-2013. According to this programme every child of Government and Aided school from 1st to 10th standard are getting 150 ml milk is prepared by 18 gms of whole milk powder three days in a week (alternative days). Milk contains 89.64 Kilo Calories.
Rs.39217.08 lakh grant is allocated for Ksheera Bhagya Yojane during 2016-17.


  1. It helps to eradicate anemia in school going children
  2. By giving balanced food to the children, malnutrition can be eradicated.
  3. To improve learning ability among the children.

Free Bicycle distribution scheme:

The scheme of distribution of free bicycles started in the year 2006-07 aiming to facilitate transport for Rural and hilly region students. Target group were Girl Students enrolled to class 8th in Govt and Govt aided Schools of BPL family.

Girl students having Bus pass and Hostel facility were excluding from the scheme. Bicycle Distribution scheme was extended to 8th std girls from families of below poverty line in the city corporation limit and also to boys from the year 2007-08.

  • Encourage enrollment of girl child to school.
  • Facilitate students to reach a distant School.
  • Ensure their studies and to initiate retention.
  • Motivate and to enhance their will power.
  • Enhances quality in education.
  • Reduce transport time.
